Worldhotels has launched its new branded hotel concept in
Asia with the signing of the Worldhotel Grand Juna Wuxi in China.
The agreement with Juna
Hotels Group, one of the most prominent hospitality companies in
the Yangtze River Delta (southern Jiangsu Province, Shanghai
Municipality and northern Zhejiang Province), marks the debut of
the Worldhotel brand in
Asia.
Worldhotel Grand Juna Wuxi is a new
370-room property incorporating a state-of-the-art convention and
exhibition centre in the heart of Taihu Lake New City, just a
stroll from the city hall and financial centre of Wuxi’s new city
centre.
The hotel houses five restaurants and lounges
offering Huaiyang cuisine, Shanghai cuisine, Cantonese cuisine and
international fare.
The hotel is conveniently located
in terms of traffic, only 20 minutes drive from downtown Wuxi; 15
minutes drive from Wuxi New District high-speed train station; 20
minutes drive from Wuxi International and domestic Airport and 90
minutes drive from Shanghai Pudong International Airport.
Nicknamed "little Shanghai", the ancient city along the
Yangtze River is divided by Taihu Lake in Jiangsu province,
bordering Changzhou to the west and Suzhou to the east. Wuxi is
also renowned as the ‘Pearl of Taihu Lake’ for its beautiful
scenery and booming economy in the Shanghai hinterland.
“The branded hotel solution was developed in
response to demand from hoteliers for support and services from a
global name with significant recognition while still allowing them
to keep their own unique character. Following the launch of the
first ever branded Worldhotel early this year, this milestone
launch of Worldhotel Grand Juna Wuxi launches a promising
expansion of the Worldhotel brand in China, as well as Asia,” said Robert Hornman,
Managing Director of Worldhotels.
