Metrojet, a provider of business aircraft
services in Hong Kong and the region, has appointed Tan Siah-Joo
as Director of Corporate Development. Tan will be responsible for
strategic planning and development of the company.
An aircraft engineer by training, Tan has over
30 years of experience in the commercial aviation industry,
notably within the Singapore Airlines Group, where the journey
took him subsequently to senior management positions within its
wholly owned subsidiaries, SilkAir and SIA Engineering Company. Areas under his purview include Engineering, Inflight, Ground,
Cabin and Customer Services, Corporate Planning, Asset Management, Business Development and Project Management.
Prior to joining
Metrojet, Tan was the Director of Corporate Development at Gulf
Air, based in Bahrain.
Tan holds a Bachelor of Science
degree in Aerospace Management from the University of Technology,
Sydney, Australia. He also completed an Executive program from
Columbia University, USA.
