Travel News Asia Latest Travel News Podcasts Videos Tuesday, 29 March 2011

As New Zealand prepares for another big ski season, Hertz has introduced its value-packed Hertz Ski South Island package, featuring latest model vehicles including the new Toyota RAV4 4WD, plus lift passes, bonus discounts on ski activities and an early bird offer to rent at least seven days for the price of six.

The Hertz Ski package includes snow chains and either a ski or snowboard rack with each vehicle.

It also includes one ski lift pass, valid at the Cardrona or Treble Cone ski fields, for every day of the Hertz Ski rental package. Discounts of up to 15% off group ski lessons, rental equipment, full day ski lift passes and some retail items are available at Coronet Peak, The Remarkables and Mt Hutt ski fields.

“New Zealand has one of the world’s longest ski seasons, typically lasting from June to October, and offers a wide range of world class ski fields,” said Chris Rusden, Region Vice President and Managing Director Australasia, for Hertz. “The introduction of the latest model, five seater Toyota RAV 4, adds even more choice for our customers, providing a new, intermediate sized 4WD vehicle which combines a spacious cabin and comfortable ride with the added benefit of fuel efficiency.”

The Hertz Ski package is valid between 4 June and 31 October, 2011 for rentals of two days or more. Vehicles are available from selected Hertz rental locations in the South Island, including Queenstown, Christchurch, Dunedin, Invercargill, Greymouth, Hokitika and Picton.

The free rental day is available to “early bird” travellers who, prior to 30 April, 2011, make a Hertz Ski 4WD vehicle booking for seven days or more.

Conditions apply and packages are subject to availability.
