The industrial town of Kulim in the northern
state of Kedah, famed for its Kulim Hi-Tech Park, celebrated the
opening of the 10th and latest Tune Hotel in Malaysia on Tuesday.
Tune Hotel Kulim is the first branded hotel chain for Kedahs
third largest town.
The opening of Tune Hotel Kulim
brings the groups worldwide network to 13 hotels including two in Bali,
Indonesia and one in London, England.
The new Tune Hotel in Kulim adds an additional 50 rooms comprising 32 doubles, 17 twins and a
wheelchair-friendly room to the network.
Tune Hotel Kulim is located
right next to Kulims premier shopping complex, the Landmark
Central, providing guests easy access to shopping, dining and
entertainment. It is midway between Kulim old town and its new
town centre, and a short drive from the renowned Kulim Hi-Tech
Park that houses some of the biggest international manufacturing
and R&D facilities.
Tune Hotels Group CEO, Mark Lankester, said, This is our second hotel in the northern region
after Downtown Penang, and our very first in the state of Kedah.
We are very proud to be here and we look forward to actively
participating in the local travel and tourism scene. We have
always said that within Malaysia we want to provide the most
complete coverage for travellers and businesses and the opening of
Tune Hotel Kulim is a further step in that direction. We look
forward to serving the needs of particularly business travelers to
Kulim that is home to one of Asias premier business parks. Tune
Hotel Kulim acts as a satellite to our hugely popular Tune Hotel
Downtown Penang and I am sure our guests will find Tune Hotel
Kulim a great alternative option.
