At the initiative of Jaume Tàpies, Chairman of
the Board of Relais & Châteaux, and Marc Haeberlin, President of
Grandes Tables du Monde, the Relais & Châteaux Grand Chefs Dinner
(Le Dîner des Grands Chefs), in honour of French gastronomy, will
take place at the Château de Versailles on 6 April 2011.
In the stunning setting of the Gallery of
Battles, after a visit to the Hall of Mirrors and the exhibition
“Thrones in Majesty” in the heart of the Royal Apartments, 650
privileged guests will enjoy an unforgettable culinary experience
accompanied by exceptional vintage wine and champagne.
This event, staged in partnership with Moët Hennessy, the
Wines & Spirits division of LVMH, and orchestrated by 60 Grands
Chefs from all over the world, including Fréderic Anton, Daniel
Boulud, Jean-André Charial, Hélène Darroze, Edouard Loubet, Thomas
Keller, Kiyomi Mikuni, Emmanuel Stroobant, Michel Troisgros,
celebrates the inscription of the Gastronomic Meal of the French
in UNESCO’s list of Intangible Cultural Heritage of Humanity.
The
proceeds of the evening will be donated to the French Heritage and
Gastronomy Mission (MFPCA) chaired by Jean-Robert Pitte, for the
creation of the Cité de la Gastronomie.
