Nok Air, a low cost carrier based in Thailand,
has signed up for Amadeus Total Demand by airconomy, a new data
solution that provides airlines, airports and travel agencies with
a comprehensive and accurate view of market demand on any given
route.
With Amadeus
Total Demand by airconomy, Nok Air will be able to assess the
revenue potential of new and existing routes, as well as find out
market share information. This information will assist the airline
in future decisions regarding its network and in the evaluation of
new routes, based on actual travel data and passenger behaviour.
Yodchai Sudhidhanakul, Vice President -
Planning, Research and e-Commerce, Nok Air, said, “Amadeus’
expertise and leadership in travel distribution makes it the ideal
partner in supplying us with this vital business intelligence. The
data provided by Amadeus Total Demand by airconomy will enable us
to make informed business decisions regarding our route network,
based on precise evidence of market demand. This will become
essential to help manage our fleet and capacity most effectively,
and thus maximise our profitability.”
Nok Air is
the first airline in Asia Pacific to adopt the new Amadeus Total
Demand by airconomy product, which was launched in July last year,
and is the second airline worldwide to implement the solution.
