Claudia Hardt has been promoted to Director of
Public Relations of The Ritz-Carlton Hotels of Qatar.
In her new
capacity, she is responsible for the regional and international
communications and public relations efforts of The Ritz-Carlton,
Doha and Sharq Village & Spa.
Ms Hardt has 21 years experience in the
hospitality industry and was most recently director of public
relations and communications at The Ritz-Carlton, Bahrain Hotel &
Spa. Prior to this position, she was director of communications at
The Ritz-Carlton, Hong Kong and director of public relations at
The Ritz-Carlton, Berlin.
Ms Hardt started her
career with Ritz-Carlton in 1999 as public relations manager
at the former The Ritz-Carlton Schlosshotel, Berlin. Soon after,
she joined the regional public relations office in Germany and
assisted in setting up the public relations department at The
Ritz-Carlton, Istanbul. Ms Hardt supplemented her public relations
experience at C & C Contact & Creation, one of the leading PR
agencies in Germany for the hospitality industry, managing hotel,
airline and tourism board accounts.
Armed with a
degree in hotel business management administration of the
Hotelfachschule Heidelberg, Germany, and a European Diploma of
Hotel Management, Ms Hardt is also certified as a PR-Consultant by
the German Academy of Public Relations in Frankfurt. In 2008, she
was recognized as “Marketing/PR Person of the Year” by Hotelier
Middle East.
The
Ritz-Carlton Hotel currently
operates 74 hotels in the Americas, Europe, Asia, the Middle East,
Africa, and the Caribbean. More than 30 hotel and residential
projects are under development around the globe with future
openings including Toronto; and Hong Kong, Kowloon.
