Fritz Sommerau has been appointed as General
Manager of the Prince Hotel, Hong Kong.
A Swiss national and
graduate of Ecole Hôtelière de Lausanne, Fritz is a veteran of the
Asian hospitality industry, having held Executive positions at
Moevenpick Hotels International, The Peninsula Group in Hong Kong,
Manila and Beijing and for the past 23 years, Head of Hospitality
Services at The Hong Kong Jockey Club.
He has actively served
for many years on the Advisory Board of The School of Hotel &
Tourism Management, Hong Kong Polytechnic University and has been honoured by the French Government as Officier de
l’Ordre National du Mérite Agricole.

undoubtedly bring a new dimension of insight and knowledge to his
hotel, in particular to the renovation project currently on
going at the Prince Hotel” said

The 393-room Prince Hotel is on the doorsteps of the China Ferry Terminal
and Harbour City - one of Hong Kong’s largest shopping complexes
that comprises more
than 700 shops featuring the world’s leading brands.
Within
a short walk are landmarks such as the Hong Kong Museum of Art,
the Space Museum, the Hong Kong Cultural Centre, and the newly
opened 1881 Heritage.
