Heritage Hotels and Resorts, a collection of
seven independent hotels in the southwestern U.S., has enlisted
Pegasus for its next generation central reservation system (CRS),
RezView NG; powerful Internet booking engine, NetBooker NG; Global
Commission Processing Services; and private label voice services.
Regarded for its culturally distinct hotels,
Heritage Hotels and Resorts’ seven properties include the
Hotel Albuquerque at Old Town, Nativo Lodge, Hotel St. Francis,
The Lodge at Santa Fe, Hotel Plaza Real, and Hotel Encanto, all in
New Mexico, as well as the Esplendor Resort in Rio Rico, Ariz.
“We’ve pored over every detail of
our properties to ensure they authentically reflect the spirit of
the Southwest,” said Kathleen Cullen, corporate director of
revenue strategies for Heritage Hotels and Resorts. “Now, we have
taken similar care in selecting our strategy for driving business
to our complete portfolio. The flexibility of RezView NG creates
opportunities for us to redesign our revenue management strategy,
while investing in the full range of business-driving channels
will help us ‘cover the field’ to capture all available business
opportunities.”
RezView NG, which most recently
made headlines when
HP Enterprise Services licensed it to
accelerate development of its next- generation consumer travel
solutions for hospitality and airline clients, has been lauded for
its highly reliable interfaces with a wide variety of property
systems. It will allow Heritage’s hotels to manage all room and
non-room inventory, availability status, restrictions, pricing and
policies per property preference.
The move to
Utell Connect will allow Heritage to connect to the global
distribution systems (GDS), and feature images, property layouts,
room details and other descriptive content in Pegasus’ Hotel
Content Database (HCD). The HCD is one of the largest repositories of hotel descriptive content in the world, featuring approximately 90,000
hotels internationally. It will allow all seven Heritage
properties to present rates and availability, and to vividly
convey the hotel experience to online travel agencies (OTAs),
corporate travel departments and tour operators.
“Our agreement with Heritage is noteworthy because it represents a
comprehensive and strategic plan for marketing a hotel group globally,” said Connie Rheams, senior vice president, strategic
sales for Pegasus Solutions. “Kathleen and the team at Heritage recognize the opportunity to maximize revenue at the time of
booking, which they can do with Pegasus, applying revenue
management rules to every component of the booking, not just the
room. Heritage also understands the value of the brand website,
and the power of repeat agent bookings driven through timely
commission processing.”
NetBooker NG offers hotels
like the Heritage properties, the functionality of a private-label
site without the responsibilities and overhead of in-house website
design, development and hosting. It combines a proven advanced
booking engine with integrated web marketing services, allowing
hotels to create a site customized according to the property or
brand.
Pegasus private label voice services offers hotels
professionally trained and sales-focused support in 11 languages
for 40 countries. With hub reservations centers in South America,
Europe and Asia Pacific, Pegasus voice services allow hotels to
capture valuable international bookings.
Pegasus Global Commission Processing for
Heritage Hotels and Resorts offers agents weekly commission
payments via check or direct deposit in any of 37 currencies. As a
preferred commission payment provider for more than 60,000 travel
agencies worldwide, Pegasus processes more than $500 million in
commissions annually, serving more than 35,000 properties, as well
as the majority of travel distributors in more than 200 countries.
