China Airlines Offering 25% Off High-Speed Rail Tickets

Travel News Asia Latest Travel News Podcasts Videos Tuesday, 22 February 2011

China Airlines passengers (with the exception of those flying from Japan) who purchase Taiwan High-Speed Rail (HSR) tickets together with their flight tickets can now enjoy a 25% discount, providing even more savings than the previous 15% discount.

Passengers taking advantage of these additional savings will also not be subject to date or trip restrictions.

CAL established a check-in counter at the HSR Taoyuan Station on 16 December 2009. Today, passengers can conveniently make HSR reservations through the CAL website and even complete check-in and baggage check procedures at HSR Taoyuan Station.

Since passengers arriving at HSR Taoyuan Station no longer need to carry their luggage from the station to the Taoyuan International Airport and can get boarding passes at the station, this service helps passengers easily speed through airport immigration immediately after arriving at the airport. More than 7,000 passengers take advantage of this convenient service every month.

The CAL check-in counter at the HSR Taoyuan Station operates from 7:00 a.m. to 10:00 p.m. every day. There is one counter dedicated to serve First and Business Class passengers, along with two counters serving Economy Class passengers.

Passengers can make reservations, re-bookings or cancellations of HSR tickets through CAL’s website within 28 days of their planned departures, while HSR tickets can be picked up at any of thousands of Seven Eleven and Family Mart convenience stores located throughout Taiwan.
