Gavin Hastings will be joining SeaDream I’s
7-night voyage departing from Barbados (round-trip) on 20 November
2011.
This is the first time small-ship operator
SeaDream Yacht Club has hosted a UK-based sports personality on
board.
Gavin Hastings, widely respected as one of the
best rugby players of his generation, amassed 733 points in Test
Match rugby over a 10-year period. He captained every team he ever
played for, including Scotland, the Barbarians and the Lions. He
won his first Cap for Scotland in the mid 1980s and thereafter
followed 60 further Caps, including 20 as Captain. He retired
having played in the first three Rugby World Cups and toured with
the British Lions to Australia in 1989 and as Captain to New
Zealand four years later. Today, Gavin remains the second highest points
scorer in Rugby World Cup history.
During this voyage,
guests aboard SeaDream’s deluxe, mega-yacht, SeaDream I, will have
insight from Gavin into what it takes to be a great
team player and leader. Gavin illustrates how we can all apply the
lessons learned on the rugby pitch to the business environment, achieving better performance. He is no stranger to public speaking
and appears regularly in the media; his tailor-made presentations
are filled with a mix of humorous and inspirational anecdotes.
Gavin is sailing with SeaDream immediately upon his return
from the
Rugby World Cup in New Zealand.
“Let's hope I may be celebrating a great Rugby World Cup and a
strong Scottish performance. I am very much looking forward to
joining SeaDream guests this November on this fantastic Caribbean
yachting voyage – my very first cruise experience,” Gavin said.

SeaDream I roundtrip Bridgetown, Barbados voyage departs 20 November
