Mandarin Oriental has promoted Richard Baker to
Executive Vice President, Operations Director – the Americas, with
immediate effect.
Mr Baker has been promoted to the role from his
previous position as Executive Vice President, Northern Region,
the Americas.
In his expanded function, Mr Baker will be
responsible for the operations of all Mandarin Oriental hotels in
the Americas. Mr Baker will also oversee the Residences at
Mandarin Oriental projects, and will provide operational input to
the group’s hotels under development in the region. He remains
based in the group’s San Francisco office.
Mr Baker joined Mandarin Oriental in May 2006 as General Manager,
Corporate and prior to joining the group, held senior management positions with Rosewood Hotels and Resorts and Four Seasons.
