Jetstar is, subject to government approval, to launch direct flights between
Singapore and Hangzhou in March.
Hangzhou, the capital of Zhejiang
Province on the Chinese mainland east coast, is one of Chinas
most visited cities by tourists, attracting tens of millions
annual visitors including increasing numbers of foreign travelers
to its renowned natural beauty and historic and cultural heritage.
Commencing from 22 March 2011, Jetstar will become the
first carrier to offer non-stop Singapore to Hangzhou (Shanghai)
flights, which will be operated by the carriers growing A320 fleet.
Initially flying three times weekly, Jetstars
Singapore-Hangzhou flying will grow to four times
weekly by 27 March 2011.
To celebrate the launch of flights to Hangzhou, one way all inclusive JetSaver
Light fares of Sin$98 are on sale from 03.01 am on the 18 January
2011 until 23.59 pm on 20 January 2011.
The promotional fares
are available for travel between 22 March 2011 and 25 May 2011.

Hangzhou will become Jetstars seventh Chinese
destination and its fourth Chinese market introduced in the past
twelve months.
From Singapore Changi Airport
Jetstar Asia currently serves Haikou, Shantou and Guilin with
multi-weekly direct flights, and flies at least daily services
from Singapore to Greater China destinations of Hong Kong, Taipei
and Macau.
Jetstars future Singapore-Hangzhou (Shanghai)
services will depart Singapore at 18:30 each Tuesday, Thursday
and Saturday from 22 March 2011, with a Sunday service to be introduced
from 27 March 2011. Flight departures from Hangzhou (Shanghai)
are scheduled at 00:35.
Hangzhou in the Yangtze River Delta is also situated
only 180 kilometres southwest of Shanghai and with high speed
train connections taking less than 45 minutes, providing an extra
choice for low cost travel from Singapore to greater Shanghai.
