The HNA Group has signed a five-year
multi-million dollar deal for CHAMP Cargosystems’ full suite of
Cargo IT services to be deployed at Hong Kong Airlines and Hong
Kong Express.
The sister airlines, which share common
management, will become one of the first Hong Kong-based airlines
to migrate completely to the integrated Cargospot suite including
Airline and Revenue Accounting.
The Cargospot suite is one of the most widely
used cargo management systems on the market providing carriers
with complete end-to-end control over the sale, operation and
management of cargo.
Hong Kong Airlines President, Yang Jian Hong,
said, “We established our own cargo department just over four
years ago and the demand for our services continues to grow in
line with the economic growth of China. This strategic partnership
with CHAMP Cargosystems will support our efforts to operate
long-range freight routes to Europe and America.”
James Fernandez, VP Sales and Marketing CHAMP
Cargosystems, added, “The new technology will deliver complete
end-to-end control over the sale and management of cargo by
integrating the processes of all Hong Kong Airlines and Hong Kong
Express’s cargo-related business activities. The airlines will
also benefit from continuous improvement as the large Cargospot
community client base allows for cost-effective and proactive
enhancements to be delivered within a robust release process.”
Complementary modules to Cargospot include
Business Intelligence, ULD Management, Revenue Accounting and
e-Booking.
