Simon Dell Appointed GM of Amari Hua Hin

Mr. Simon Dell has been appointed as General Manager of the Amari Hua Hin, a new hotel set to open in March 2012.

Located in the popular Thai seaside town of Hua Hin, the property is part of a 7.5-acre mixed use development project which includes privately owned condominiums. It will be the 13th Amari property in Thailand.

In his new role, Mr. Dell will be overseeing all aspects of the pre-opening period of the hotel, and will take overall responsibility for the smooth running of the hotel after it opens. His primary focus will be to ensure that this new development is able to fully deliver in terms of customer expectation, occupancy rate and revenue generation.

Fluent in 3 languages and able to speak 3 more, Mr. Dell, a British national who grew up in Switzerland and graduated in Business and Hospitality Administration from Johnson & Wales University, USA. He also holds a diploma in Hotel Administration from the Institute Hotelier-César Ritz in Switzerland.

Before joining Amari, he accumulated a wealth of experience in international hospitality management in Hong Kong, Russia, Germany, Israel, UK and Switzerland.

Mr. Dell has been with Amari since 2008 having begun his career with the group as Executive Assistant Manager at Amari Orchid Pattaya, before being appointed General Manager of Amari Vogue Krabi, a property he joined in August 2009.

Simon Dell and his team will manage the 223-room resort, which offers a range of room types, from Superior and Deluxe rooms to expansive Suites and Family suites.

Catering to both leisure and business guests, Amari Hua Hin will also offer state-of-the-art meeting and conference facilities and a range of dining experiences, a Beach Club, a Kids’ club, and a Breeze Spa.

Amari Hua Hin is ideally situated next to a popular stretch of beach called Khao Takiab, just off Phetchakasem Road and just few minutes away from the popular Cicada market.
