FCS Computer Systems’ WinExpress Version 2
integrated call billing and voicemail system is now compliant with
key IP telephony solutions from Avaya, a global provider of
business collaboration systems, software and services.
WinExpress
Version 2 helps chain hotels and boutique hotels provide guest
voicemail services, automatic billing, and room status or mini-bar
updates, using a single server interfacing with the hotel’s
property management system.
The application has now been
compliance-tested by Avaya for compatibility with Avaya IP Office
Release 6.1, via Avaya’s DevConnect program, and FCS was included
in the Release 6.1 launch as a select partner supporting the
hospitality vertical.
“The compatibility between
WinExpress Version 2 and Avaya IP Office ultimately benefits our
business customers with expanded options and enhanced
performance,” said Akina Ho, Vice President of FCS. “Being able to
incorporate new technologies easily and cost effectively lets our
customers make the best use of their communications
infrastructures.”
FCS is a member of the Avaya
DevConnect program - an initiative to develop, market and sell
innovative third-party products that interoperate with Avaya
technology and extend the value of a company’s investment in its
network.
As a Platinum member of the program, FCS
is eligible to submit products for compatibility testing at the
Avaya Solution Interoperability and Test Lab. There, a team of
Avaya engineers develops a comprehensive test plan for each
application to verify whether it is Avaya compliant. Doing so
ensures businesses can confidently add best-in-class capabilities
to their networks without having to replace their existing
infrastructure - speeding deployment of new applications and
reducing both network complexity and implementation costs.
“Development partners like FCS are helping Avaya reach
new markets,” said Eric Rossman, vice president, developer
relations, Avaya. “Working with FCS gives us a window into
additional technology development, and opens new doors of
opportunity for us to explore.”
