Jetstar has launched flights between Singapore
and Auckland in New Zealand. The new daily service is operated by
two-class A330 aircraft.
To celebrate the new route, Jetstar has launched a
promotion with all inclusive one-way JetSaver Light fares of
Sin$248 and StarClass fares for Sin$688. The sale commenced at
00.01 am 17 March 2011 and will run till 11.59pm 21 March 2011.
The promotional fares are valid for travel until
October 2011. Terms and conditions apply.
“Jetstar’s continued fast-paced growth out of Singapore now
supports an even wider range of connecting itineraries for
travellers into and out of Southeast Asia, through Changi. Our
approach leverages Singapore Changi Airport’s leading air gateway
status in Asia,” said Jetstar Asia CEO, Ms Chong Phit Lian. “By
launching our every day low fare flights on the Singapore-Auckland
route, Jetstar will offer the lowest every day fares for travel
between Singapore and New Zealand ... Whilst this is a challenging time for our neighbours in New
Zealand, including in Christchurch, we remain acutely aware of the
important role of tourism and its vital contribution to the New
Zealand economy.”
Jetstar,
Tourism New Zealand and Auckland Airport have launched a
multi-million dollar advertising campaign in Singapore featuring
local celebrity and Jetstar Ambassador Joanne Peh.
The two-month campaign was shot in New Zealand last month and will
appear on television, in print, online and on the interior of MRT
trains in Singapore.
