Air China is laying on 11.5% more seats this
Chinese New Year holiday compared to last year, helping tens of
thousands more people get home to their families for the most
important holiday of the year.
The airline has scheduled 7.2
million seats on 40,000 flights for the years busiest travel
period, set to begin on 19 January 2011.
Air China forecasts that the transport flow
during the upcoming Spring Festival will increase by 12%.
To
accommodate passengers and satisfy travel demand, the airline will
provide 5.77 million domestic seats and 1.43 million international
seats for the peak travel period. Moreover, the carrier is
offering a series of promotions to its customers.
Discounts of up to 80%
From today until 17 February 2011, Air China is
offering tickets with discounts of up to 80%. For example,
flights from Changchun and Shenyang to Beijing can be purchased
for RMB290; and flights from Chongqing to Guangzhou for RMB240.
