Lufthansa is to increase capacity on its flights
between Frankfurt and Abu Dhabi from the end of October this year.
Lufthansa flights on route to Abu Dhabi will no
longer continue onwards to Muscat, Oman giving full capacity of
the aircraft to Abu Dhabi – Frankfurt passengers.
The increase in
flight capacity is Lufthansa’s second upgrade within just twelve
months after introducing a daily service on the route last
October, up from six weekly flights.
This year passenger
traffic between Frankfurt and Abu Dhabi registered an increase by
14% compared with the same period last year.
“Lufthansa is
pleased to announce increased capacity on its Abu Dhabi –
Frankfurt route, which reflects the growing demand from our
customers in the Abu Dhabi region, in Germany and in the rest of
Europe,” said Peter Pollak, Lufthansa’s General Manager UAE and
Director Gulf and Iraq. “The continued support offered to us by
ADAC helps us easily accommodate our needs.”
The Lufthansa flights will be operated with an
Airbus A330-300 aircraft.
