Amadeus and Strategic Airlines, one of
Australia's newest domestic and international airlines, have
signed a global distribution agreement that provides travel agents
across the globe, access to the carrier’s international and
domestic fares, schedules and inventory.
Bob Kane, Chief Information Officer of Strategic
Airlines said that having its fare schedule accessible through
Amadeus was key to growing its business in Australia.
“As a
relatively new airline, it’s imperative that we ensure that our
fare schedule can be accessed by as many points of sale as
possible. With Amadeus’ reliable, time efficient and easy to
manage Selling Platform, we know that travel agents will easily be
able to find the fares they need to meet all their customers’
travel requirements,” he said.
Strategic Airlines has selected the highest level of booking
connectivity which brings significant benefits to Amadeus
subscribers who have access to the airline’s real-time schedule. Amadeus
subscribers can effectively communicate directly with airline’s
inventory system when making a booking, receiving instant
confirmation.
“Amadeus is pleased to be working with Strategic
Airlines in the competitive Australian travel market and hopes
this contract will ensure a stable long-term cooperation with the
carrier,” said Sari Vahakoski Managing Director, Amadeus
Australia. “Strategic Airlines will now benefit from our extensive
global network of over 90,000 travel agency points of sale that
can access the airlines fares and schedules.”
