What is being sold as the worlds biggest
indoor ice event - Ice World, opened over the weekend and will
run at The Venetian Macau until 18 September 2011.
Following over a year of preparation and
exchanges with Heilongjiang Provincial Ice and Snow Art
Development, The Venetian Macau has transformed its 1,700 sqm.
CotaiExpo Hall F into the coolest place in town, with 49 ice
sculpture artisans working at a constant -15c to hew some 9,000
blocks of ice into nine themed zones ranging from a 7m-high,
3-slide kids paradise to Ice Age fantasy world to the iconic landmarks of China, Macau, India, Europe and America.
The
Venetian Macau is once again proud to pioneer a remarkable family
event that will generate intense interest far and wide. I
believe Ice World is a most fitting cultural salute to a city
famed for its cultural diversity. This is the right time and
the right place to showcase such stunning artistry, said Mr.
Edward Tracy, President & COO of Sands China Ltd.
