Holiday Inn Express has signed a new hotel in
Phuket, Thailand.
The hotel will be Holiday Inn Express’ first in
Phuket, and also the first Holiday Inn Express in a beach resort
location.
The new build property, which will be developed in
partnership with owner company, Kebsup Group, is located in
central Patong, only 100 meters from the beach front.
Well-known
restaurant and night-life entertainment options around the
district are only a few minutes walk away. The Holiday Inn Express
Phuket Patong Beach Central is expected to open by early 2013.
The hotel will consist of approximately 280 rooms, with
facilities as such as the Great Room, a hall mark of the Holiday
Inn Express brand which serves as a gathering hub and is also
where the daily free breakfast is served.
The property will also
have meeting rooms, gym and a swimming pool. In addition, guests
will be able to enjoy free Wi-Fi throughout the property and can also make use of
a self-service business centre and laundry room.
Jan Smits, Chief Executive for Asia, Middle East and Africa
(AMEA), said, “The Holiday Inn Express brand meets the demand for
an international standard hotel that offers fuss-free comfort,
convenience and value, with no compromise on location. This
proposition resonates well with our owner partners and the brand
is growing strongly across the region, with a pipeline of 47
hotels in Asia Pacific alone. Phuket remains a popular
international tourist destination; the well-established Holiday
Inn Express will appeal to visitors and quickly distinguish itself
as the accommodation of choice.”
Holiday Inn Express Phuket Patong Beach
Central is the fourth development for the brand in Thailand. The
first Holiday Inn Express for the country, also the first in
Southeast Asia, will open at the end of the year in Bangkok. Two
other hotels currently in development are located in Bangkok
Sukhumvit and in Pattaya.
