Roddy Gordon has been appointed as Director of
Marketing of Rosewood Abu Dhabi, a new hotel which is scheduled to
open in the Q4 2012.
Gordon, a strategic sales and marketing professional, has 23
years experience in the hotel industry, with emphasis on the
premium hotel and service sector.
He was formerly
Vice President of Sales and Marketing for Tamani Hotels and
Resorts, Dubai for the last three years, and previously held a
variety of positions with Hyatt International in markets such as
Chicago, Hong Kong, London, Dubai, Seoul and Auckland, New Zealand.
He has a BA in Hotel, Catering and
Institutional Administration from Robert Gordons University in
his home city of Aberdeen, Scotland.
Rosewood Abu Dhabi will be located on Sowwah Island, the
core of the citys new Central Business District between the
prestigious commercial development, Sowwah Square, and the
Cleveland Clinic Abu Dhabi.
The property will feature 189
guest rooms and suites, 137 serviced residences, four
restaurants, Sense spa, an ultra-luxury shopping centre featuring
the worlds most fashionable brands, and views of the
surrounding water and city.
