Thai Airways International has received another
retrofitted Airbus A330-300.
This aircraft, the second of five
retrofitted A330-300s, registered as HS-TER, MSN 1060, and royally
bestowed as U-Thong, returns to Bangkok from Hamburg, Germany,
after undergoing the installation of new economy class seats by
the seat manufacturer ZIM Flugsitz GmbH.
Mr. Piyasvasti Amranand, Thai Airways President, said, "The arrival of this
second retrofitted aircraft comes just two weeks after the first
retrofitted A330-300 arrived in March. We're not only excited
about getting the improved products into the fleet, we are excited
for our customers who can enjoy improved products."
The new seats
have a 32-inch seat pitch, an 18-inch seat width, and a 9-inch
personal screen with 100 movie selections.
Thai
plans to operate the A330-300 aircraft, with Business class and
Economy class offerings, mainly on regional routes.
The Business
Class products include a shell-type seating design that has a
58-inch pitch, a 20-inch width, reclining to 170 degrees. Business
Class passengers on these aircraft can enjoy the new inflight
entertainment system on a 15-inch personal screen with 100 movies
and short programs to choose from, as well as enjoy a vast music
selection.
