Jago Coyle Joins Sofitel Brisbane Central as DOSM

Mr. Jago Coyle has been appointed Director of Sales and Marketing for the Sofitel Brisbane Central, taking on the role from previous the DOSM, Chanelle Garvey.

Since June 2007 Mr Coyle has held the role of DOSM at the 267-room Brisbane Marriott Hotel. Jago’s new appointment with Accor at Sofitel Brisbane Central will now see him managing the sales and marketing of an hotel almost twice the size.

With a wealth of experience and a national Diploma in International Hospitality, Jago has formerly held several senior management positions with Marriott Hotels, having been with the Marriott network for close to 10 years.

British born, Jago commenced his career in hospitality as a Commis Chef, and remained in the kitchen for 8 years, before starting a role front of house with one of Manchester’s leading hotels at the time, The Victoria and Albert.

Sofitel Brisbane Central is one of the largest hotels in the city, boasting 429 rooms and conference facilities for up to 1000 delegates.

The French-inspired property offers guests a spa, several dining outlets including Prive249, a gaming lounge, dedicated Champagne bar and one of the largest club lounges in the country – Club Sofitel, located on level 30 of the hotel.

The hotel is walking distance to major shopping centres; Eagle Street Pier, The Brisbane River, Southbank Parklands and Convention Centre. The hotel has direct access to Central Station providing convenient transport to domestic and international airports, Sunshine Coast and the Gold Coast.

Former Director of Sales and Marketing for Sofitel Brisbane Central, Ms Chanelle Garvey, has been appointed as Director of Sales and Marketing for Sofitel Philippine Plaza Manila.
