Ms. Melanie Smith has been appointed as General
Manager of the new Anantara Bangkok Sathorn, the company’s first
city hotel.
Melanie joins Anantara from Eaton Hotel Hong Kong
where she most recently held the role of Hotel Manager, a position
she has overseen since March 2008.
Prior to Eaton hotel, Melanie
worked as Hotel Manager for Langham Place Eco Resort and Spa in
Koh Lanta, Krabi, as well as managerial roles with Crowne Plaza
and Star City Hotel in Australia.
Senior Vice
President, Anantara, Peter Carmichael, said, “We are delighted
to have such a talented General Manger on board. Melanie is a
leader who understands the operational and personal side to what
our guests’ need and I am confident of great things to come at Anantara Bangkok Sathorn.”
