Concorde Hotel Singapore has achieved the
bizSAFE level 4 certification for Workplace Safety and Health
(WSH).
WSH management is a core component to
drive productivity, longevity and prosperity in businesses, and
this certification comes shortly after the extension on 1
September 2011 of the Workplace Safety and Health Act (WSHA), to
cover all workplaces in Singapore.
Concorde Hotel Singapore, General Manager, Mr.
Leo Llambi, said, "This certification underscores the Hotel’s
commitment to workplace safety. The health and safety of our staff
and our Guests is paramount at Concorde Hotel Singapore.”
The Workplace Safety and Health Council's (WSH)
bizSAFE initiative is a 5-step programme developed to help
businesses build WSH capability and strengthen their WSH
management system. It enables companies to make safety an integral
part of their business and learn how they can drive productivity
with WSH innovations.
The Workplace Safety and Health Act came into
effect on 1 March 2006 and covers workplaces in Singapore such as
factories, construction sites and shipyards. The government has
announced that from September 2011, the Act covers all workplaces.
