Indias Jet Airways has launched Special
Fares for all women passengers to celebrate International Womens
Day.
These Jet Airways Special Fares will be
available till the end of March 2010 to every group with at least
one woman traveler that makes bookings on the airlines website.
All such groups will enjoy a 10% discount on base domestic fares
and a 5% discount on base international fares (excluding
applicable taxes and surcharges), for First Class, Premiere or
Economy travel on all routes operated by Jet Airways or Jet
Airways Konnect service.
The airline has also chosen to
support five women specific NGOs through a unique inflight
fundraising collection drive to benefit womens issues as part of
its International Womens Day celebrations. The
airline has committed to a two-week long inflight collection
drive, lasting through 21 March 2010. It will contribute
the proceeds from this drive to benefit five NGOs namely - Nanhi
Kali, Apne Aap Women Worldwide, Navjeet Community Centre, Mijwan
Welfare Society and Rajiv Gandhi Mahila Vikas Pariyojana. All of
these non-profit organizations are dedicated to empowering
underprivileged women in India.
According to Mr. Nikos
Kardassis, CEO, Jet Airways, Jet Airways women travelers,
besides being a prominent and growing customer demographic, have
also been among the airlines most loyal customers. As a token of
appreciation for their support, we would like to offer them
substantial savings on their travel through our Special Fares. We
are also launching an In-flight Collection Drive on the occasion
of International Womens Day with a view to contributing to
poverty alleviation and empowering women through these NGOs. We
are confident that the two initiatives would prove extremely
popular among all our guests.
