Austrian Airlines and Amadeus have signed a
long-term full content agreement. The contract runs until the end
of 2014. From 1 March 2010, travel agencies worldwide will have
guaranteed access to the full range of Austrian Airlines fares and
inventory through Amadeus, with no surcharge.
The agreement ensures that Austrian Airlines’
schedules, fares, last seat availability and associated inventory
available through Amadeus will be the same and under the same
conditions as in all other direct or indirect sales channels,
distribution systems or websites worldwide. Amadeus is one of the
most important distribution partners of Austrian Airlines.
“This is an important step in our strategy to
secure sustainable and long-term content agreements with leading
airlines worldwide,” said Philippe Chérèque, Executive Vice
President, Commercial, Amadeus. “We are very pleased with this
agreement as it recognises the crucial importance that long term
content agreements bring to airline and travel agency partners
alike.”
