Japan Airlines is to launch a Premium Economy
service on one of its 2 daily flights between Tokyo (Narita) and
Bangkok starting from 16 January 2011 using a Boeing 777-200ER
aircraft that is also equipped with the airline's award-winning
JAL Shell Flat Seat in executive class.
A notch above economy class, Premium Economy service
caters to the business traveler with its large table that fits an
A4-size laptop and a drink, as well a power outlet in every seat.
Aside from
the main meals served onboard, passengers will be offered light
snacks and beverages such as cup noodles, ice cream, champagne and
Japanese liquor during the flight.
At the airport, passengers can take
advantage of the dedicated Premium Economy check-in service at
both Bangkok and Tokyo, along with usage of the airport lounges.
Premium Economy service is already available on routes
between Tokyo and JAL's main gateways in Europe - London,
Frankfurt, Paris and Moscow, 4 destinations in mainland USA - New
York, Chicago, San Francisco and Los Angeles, as well as Jakarta,
New Delhi and Sydney.
