Carlson Hotels has confirmed the winners of its
first Global Hospitality Awards. The four winners are the Park
Plaza Sukhumvit Bangkok, Thailand, Radisson Blu Hotel, Berlin,
Germany, the Country Inn & Suites Marquette, Michigan and the Park
Inn Liege Airport, Belgium.
The winning properties, which the company says
were recognized for their outstanding performance in terms of
employee engagement, guest satisfaction, revenue generation, and
economic performance, were honoured at the company’s recent global
business conference in Orlando.
“These hotels are great ambassadors for our
brand and are aligned with the vision we have for our hotel
business as part of our
Ambition 2015 strategy,” said Hubert Joly,
president and CEO of Carlson.
The 95-room Park Plaza
Sukhumvit Bangkok features modern, contemporary guest rooms with
rain showers in the bathroom. It was also presented The Rising Star Award
in the region that honours top, up and coming hotels across all
brands at Carlson Hotels Asia Pacific Regional Conference last
year.
The 427-room Radisson Blu Hotel, Berlin, is
located directly on the bank of the Spree River opposite the
Berlin Cathedral and Museum Island Germany and features the
world’s largest cylindrical aquarium.
The Country Inn & Suites Marquette, Mich. has
84-rooms and is located in the Upper Peninsula region of Michigan
and offers great views of Lake Superior.
The Park Inn Liege Airport, Belgium
is located in the newly-constructed passenger terminal of the
Liege Airport and features 100 guest rooms designed in the
colorful and vibrant Park Inn style.
