Expedia has reported that the number of
international bookings made on its global sites for travel to
Indonesia has grown nearly 70% over the past twelve months, with
the majority of the travelers coming from Australia, the US, and
the UK.
The number of Indonesian hotels currently
working with Expedia has also increased, growing nearly 50% during
the same period of time.
“Indonesia is growing in popularity as a
destination among travelers worldwide, and Expedia is committed to
helping our hotel partners get in front of these travelers,” said
Roman Kesseli, director of market management for Expedia, APAC.
“We have a team of people dedicated to helping hotels in Indonesia
showcase their properties to our global audience of travelers, and
we’re excited by the growth our partners are seeing.”
Expedia plans to this month launch its low cost,
commission-based Expedia Easy Manage (EEM) program in Indonesia,
giving hotels more choice in how they can work with Expedia.
