All Nippon Airways and Hawaiian Airlines have
signed a Letter of Agreement to explore bilateral cooperation in
areas such as codesharing, frequent flyer programs, and cargo
subject to the necessary government approvals.
ANA will begin flights connecting Tokyo’s brand new International terminal of
Haneda International Airport and Honolulu from 31 October
2010, while Hawaiian Airlines will launch its first scheduled
operations to Japan, between Honolulu and Haneda on 17 November
2010.
Shinichiro Ito, ANA’s President and CEO,
said, “We are pleased to welcome Hawaiian as a new entrant to
Japan market and be able to cooperate. Hawaii is the largest
market between Japan and USA by passengers carried, and is an
important leisure market for ANA. Our customers will be able to
enjoy a wider network among Hawaii islands by this
cooperation.”
