AirAsia X has launched flights between Kuala
Lumpur and the swanky Terminal 3 of IGI airport in New Delhi, the
airline’s 10th destination worldwide and the 2nd in India after
Mumbai.
In celebration of the launch, AirAsia is offering fares
from as low as INR 1. This special fare is open for sale from 7 to 8 August 2010 for travel
between 10 August and 30 September 2010. Promotional seats are
limited and available on first-come, first-served basis.
The INR 1 fare is for one-way travel and
excludes airport tax. The all-in-fare (fare INR 1 + fee INR
2,377.00) = INR 2,378.

about the completion of our flights in India. The launch of these
services to New Delhi also signifies our readiness to handle huge
demand in the Indian market. This is also a reiteration of our
commitment towards the Indian market as New Delhi is our ninth
destination city in India after Hyderabad, Bangalore, Mumbai,
Kolkata, Chennai, Trivandrum, Kochi and Tiruchirapalli ... Moving
forward, we are also looking at introducing flights from Bangkok
to some of the key Indian cities and add more choices to our
product portfolio.”
Passengers flying on this new route will have the
chance to experience the new ‘Premium flatbed seats’
on the brand new A330 aircraft. The flatbed seats are standard
business class specifications of 20” width, 60” pitch and
stretches out to 77” in full recline position. The seats feature
universal power sockets, adjustable headrests and built-in
personal utilities such as tray table, drink holder, reading light
and privacy screen.
Jointly, the AirAsia Group will now have a total
of 120 flights weekly to the various points in India which include
Tiruchirappalli, Hyderabad, Kolkata, Kochin, Trivandrum,
Bangalore, Mumbai, New Delhi, Chennai (to Kuala Lumpur and
Penang).
