Dubai-based hospitality chain Coral Hotels &
Resorts has opened its first hotel in Beirut, the Coral Suites Al
Hamra. Owned by H.E. Sheikh Faisal bin Sultan Al Qassimi, the
100-room Coral Suites Al Hamra is located in the heart of Beirut,
minutes away from the city’s business and shopping districts.
Michel Noblet, CEO, HMH – Hospitality Management Holdings,
said, “Beirut is booming and so is the hospitality industry in the
city. We believe there is an enormous potential for our brand in
Lebanon which is emerging as a leading tourism and business hub in
the region. Our aim with Coral Suites Al Hamra is to offer an
authentic local experience with modern luxuries that discerning
travellers expect from world-class properties.”
Of the 10
million visitors to the Middle East each year, the countries of
Egypt, Jordan and Lebanon together represent over 40% of
arrivals. More than 2 million tourists are predicted this summer
alone.
Currently Coral has approximately 2300 rooms and
is expected to add 1000 more by the end of 2010.
