With the theme Better City, Better Life, the
World Expo 2010 takes place in Shanghai from 1 May to 31 October
2010, with 192 countries and 50 international organisations
participating on an expansive site along the Huangpu River. The
Peninsula Shanghai has launched The Peninsula EXPO-rience
promotion offering rates from just RMB 2,500+ per night plus 15%
surcharge. Valid from 1 May until 30 October 2010, The Peninsula
EXPO-rience includes:
- One night’s accommodation for two in a
Superior Room - Daily American breakfast for two - Two day
tickets to Expo - Shuttle bus transportation to and from the
Expo site
The Peninsula Shanghai opened in October 2009
and heralds the return of parent company The Hongkong and Shanghai
Hotels, Limited to the great city of Shanghai, where it owned and
operated four of the city’s premier hotels in the 1920s-1950s.
Another reason to visit Shanghai, is the Bund’s new look - reopening in late March after
an extensive renovation, the one-mile stroll beside the Huangpu
river along the Bund - one of the world’s most celebrated
promenades - affords views both of futuristic Pudong
and the Bund’s collection of heritage buildings representing over
50 individual architectural styles, reminiscent of the time when
Shanghai was the centre of Chinese economy and culture in the late
19th and early 20th centuries, with consulates, banks and
businesses from yesteryear making an eclectic and artistic
architectural statement.
The Peninsula Shanghai
celebrates its grand opening, the
reopening of the Bund and Expo 2010 with the “Shanghai
Celebration” package – accommodation in a Superior Room, daily
American breakfast and round trip transfers from Hongqiao or
Pudong International Airport – for just RMB 2,010 plus 15%
surcharge, valid until 31 December 2010.
Terms and conditions apply.
