The Serenity Resort & Residences in Phuket, Thailand, has joined Preferred Boutique.

Located in Chalong Bay, on Phuket's sunrise coast, Serenity Resort & Residences offers 23 guestrooms, 37 beachfront suites from 126 square meters, and 4 stunning duplex residences measuring 350 square meters.

All suites and residences are furnished with iPod docks, fully equipped kitchen, DVD/CD players, complimentary wireless Internet, and oversized balcony large enough for alfresco dining while enjoying sweeping views of the bay.

The resort is conveniently located just minutes away from the Chalong Bay pier where tours and diving trips depart for well-known islands such as Phi Phi, Coral Island, Racha Island, and the dive sites of Dok Mai and Shark Point. The shopping and nightlife of Patong Beach is around 25 minutes away.

In addition to the comprehensive facilities within the resort, which include an outdoor pool, fitness center, and spa, Serenity Resort & Residences has also partnered with Phuket-based Atmanjai Detox and Wellness Centre to offer wellness programs and holistic retreats from 3 to 14 days.

For adventurers, outdoor pursuits are numerous, ranging from a wide variety of non-motorized watersports to land-based activities such as mountain biking and golf.

The resort's own private yacht, the 27-meter Lady Anita provides an alternative live-in experience featuring five luxurious cabins for up to 10 people. Lady Anita is also available for chartered excursions to surrounding islands and is equipped with a full range of watersports equipment such as wakeboards, kayaks, and snorkels. A six-person crew, including a chef and butler, is available around the clock. The yacht also serves as a unique venue for resort guests for cocktails, dinner cruises, and a floating lounge in the open sea. The hotel's own speedboat shuttles guests to and from the neighboring islands.

"As a career hotel professional, I have long admired the incredibly high standards for which Preferred properties are renowned and the brand recognition which they enjoy, and I am absolutely delighted that we have passed their stringent selection process and been accepted as a member," said Urs Aebi, general manager of Serenity Resort & Residences.

Now through 19 December 2010, guests will get a third night free when they stay two nights at Serenity Resort & Residences. This offer also includes free breakfast and a speedboat trip to Coral Island.

"With international arrivals to Phuket increasing steadily, we believe that our clients are now well-served by three distinct Preferred Hotel Group resorts in different locations throughout the island," said Mark Simmons, area managing director, Asia, for Preferred Hotel Group. "Serenity Resort & Residences offers an ideal vacation for both genres of travelers – those seeking adventure and those wanting relaxation and pampering."
