Singapore Airlines has made the following senior
management appointments. They come into effect from 1 March 2010. Mr Goh Choon Phong, who has been President of
subsidiary SIA Cargo since 2006, will return to SIA as Executive
Vice President (Designate) for Marketing & the Sales Regions. He
will take over from Mr Huang Cheng Eng, who will be retiring in
June.
Mr Goh will report to Mr Bey Soo Khiang, who
will assume the new post of Senior Executive Vice President
(Marketing & Corporate Services). Mr Bey is currently Senior
Executive Vice President (Operations & Planning). He will be in
charge of Marketing and the Sales Regions, in addition to the
Corporate Services Division, currently headed by Senior Vice
President Mr Teoh Tee Hooi, who will be retiring in March.
The roles of Mr Ng Chin Hwee, Executive Vice
President (Human Resources & Planning) and Mr Mak Swee Wah,
Executive Vice President (Operations & Services), remain
unchanged. However both will now report directly to the Chief
Executive Officer.
Mr Tan Kai Ping will be appointed President of
SIA Cargo. Mr Tan joined SIA in 1995. He held various senior
positions in SIA’s cargo division before being seconded in 2005 to
be President of Shanghai-based associate Great Wall Airlines. Mr
Tan returned to SIA Cargo in October 2008 as Senior Vice President
-- Operations.
