ChooLeng Goh, previously Hotel Manager of the
Royal Orchid Sheraton Hotel & Towers, has been appointed General
Manager of the Plaza Athénée Bangkok, A Royal Méridien. In her
first General Manager role, ChooLeng joins the hotel following a
long and impressive career in senior hotel and regional-level
management.
Goh is a Singaporean citizen who has lived in
Thailand for many years. She is fluent in English, Thai and
Mandarin. She has sound knowledge of hotel sales and marketing and
operations in a career that spans top executive appointments with
Starwood Hotels and Resorts, since 2003 to 2008. During this time,
she has held the position of Regional Director, Sales and
Marketing -- Thailand, Vietnam and Cambodia. Prior to that, she
was the Director of Sales & Marketing with Royal Orchid Sheraton
Hotel and Towers and Sheraton Grande Sukhumvit.
In her previous position before joining Plaza
Athénée, Goh was Hotel Manager working alongside Wayne Buckingham
- Regional Vice President, Thailand, Vietnam, Cambodia & Singapore
and Managing Director, Royal Orchid Sheraton Hotel and Towers and
was responsible for the day-to-day operations and managing
approximately THB 1 billion of an extensive internal and external
renovation project.
As General Manager of thePlaza Athénée, Goh will
continue to report directly to Mr. Buckingham and also the current
Owning Company TCC Hotels Management Co., Ltd.
