Harald Feurstein joins Hilton Pattaya as General Manager

Harald Feurstein has been appointed as General Manager of the Hilton Pattaya, a 302-room hotel currently under development and expected to open in October 2010.

With a career that spans across three continents having worked in Europe, Africa and Asia, Feurstein has extensive experience in the global hospitality industry.

 Feurstein’s experience in Asia includes working in the Philippines, China, Korea, Malaysia, Japan and Vietnam. His previous role was with the Hilton Cebu Resort & Spa where he was General Manager since 2008.

 Prior to joining Hilton Cebu Resort & Spa, Feurstein was Director of Business Development at Hilton Beijing, where he was named the ‘Best Professional Executive of the Year’ at the 2008 China Hotel Executive Magazine Awards.

The Hilton Pattaya will be part of the new ‘Central Festival at Pattaya Beach’ complex, which is one of Southeast Asia’s largest beachfront, lifestyle, shopping and entertainment centres with over 300 shops and restaurants.

All guest rooms offer views overlooking Pattaya Bay from individual private balconies. Selected suites have also been fitted panoramic outdoor bathtubs. The resort will have three restaurants, including a rooftop sky venue, a lobby lounge bar, a poolside restaurant and bar as well as 24 hour room service. It will also have a spa, an outdoor infinity edge swimming pool and a health club.

To meet the growing demand for quality MICE (Meetings, Incentives, Conventions and Exhibitions) facilities and services, Hilton Pattaya has a 656 square metre ballroom and four individual meetings rooms, including a boardroom. All rooms will be equipped with state-of-the-art technology and the ballroom will also feature an outdoor balcony with stunning sea views.

Hilton Pattaya will be the fifth Hilton hotel in Thailand. Hilton Worldwide currently operates four hotels in the country: Hilton Bangkok, Hilton Hua Hin, Hilton Phuket Arcadia Resort & Spa, Conrad Bangkok.
