China Airlines and Garuda Indonesia have signed
a Memorandum of Cooperation that will allow the two carriers to
expand cooperation in codesharing, operate Frequent Flyer Program,
boost commercial cooperation for passenger and freight, and pilot
simulator training programs.
China Airlines and Garuda Indonesia have a long
history of cooperation dating back to 1991, when the
two carriers began codesharing on their Taipei-Denpasar,
Taipei-Jakarta and Taipei-Singapore-Surabaya routes, as well as
implementing inter-line check-in services, a Special Prorate
Agreement for passenger and cargo.
Founded in 1949, Garuda Indonesia has been
in successful operation for over six decades. It's the largest
airline and national flag carrier of Indonesia.
China
Airlines operates a fleet of 66 modern aircraft, and its
high-quality global network serves 89 destinations in 29
countries.
