Hua Hin Ballooning Promotion

The Hua Hin Ballooning Festival, created and developed by the Rest Detail Hotel Hua Hin and Stafford Edison International’s Classic Events, is perfectly timed for a memorable Valentine’s Day for 2011. The event is supported by the Tourism Authority of Thailand and the Hua Hin Hills Vineyard.

From 12 February to 6 March 2011, flights float off just after sunrise from the Hua Hin Hills Vineyard for a leisurely one hour flight. Luxury Limousine transfers will collect guests from their accommodation and transfer them in style to the Hua Hin Hills Vineyard. The professional Balloon Pilot will then fly over low and high levels amongst beautiful rolling hills countryside, before setting down at a private Champagne Breakfast Tent where breakfast presented by Rest Detail Hotel awaits.

The Hua Hin Hills Vineyard is built on a former elephant corral where while Asian elephants were domesticated. Covering some 600 acres with 160 acres of plantation area in 2009, its varietals and experimental plots include a range of variety of grapes including Colombard, Chenin Blanc, Muscat, Shiraz. Sangiovese and Tempranillo. The harvest is taken between February and March. At an elevation of 140 to 210 meters above sea level, the weather feels cool and dry.

Each flight carries 5 passengers plus a pilot and the experienced crew will be on hand to guide guests through the experience. A souvenir photograph, together with the Rest Detail’s Certificate of Grand Voyage at the Hua Hin Ballooning Festival will be presented to all passengers. All flights are in the morning to take advantage of the best conditions.
