Welcome to Yorkshire, the tourism organisation that represents the UK’s largest county, has launched a “Yorkshire Pass” for tourists to get the most of their visit to the historical city.

Available online and from all Visitor Information Centres, the Yorkshire Pass offers entry to over 70 of Yorkshire’s top attractions, from Yorkshire Wildlife Park to the Air Museum at Elvington and from JORVIK Viking Centre to the National Railway Museum in York.

Used in conjunction with a special offers booklet, the Pass facilitates visits to some of Britain’s most popular attractions at a fraction of the normal cost.

Passes cost from £30 to £70 with special prices for children. The cost of the passes depends on the number of days that they are valid for.

There are over 60 special offers included with the Yorkshire Pass, such as discounts on shopping, restaurants, theatre tickets and all the best that Yorkshire has to offer.

Gary Verity, CE Welcome to Yorkshire, said, “Yorkshire is popular for its rich history, idyllic gardens, fascinating museums and great food. With The Yorkshire Pass, visitors can experience everything that Yorkshire has to offer at a reasonable price. It’s fun for all the family and there is something for everyone – it really is a great way to see Yorkshire.”

There is a wide selection of tours and attractions available with The Yorkshire Pass, including:

- The York Brewery Tour is York’s own and only independent brewery. Using the Yorkshire Pass, guests can sample local beer and tour the brewery.

- Experience the sights and sounds of Victorian Britain at York Castle Museum. Famous for it’s costumes and social history, visitors can enjoy a step back in time.

- The world’s largest maze! Get lost in York’s maize maze, watch pig races and meet all the farm animals.

- The York Dungeon transports visitors back to ‘the Burning Times,’ complete with burnings, Guy Fawkes and highwayman. This is a spectacle not to be missed by history lovers.

The Yorkshire Pass is valid for the dates stated on the card and is not valid for same-day return visits to any one attraction.
