Delta Air Lines has appointed Vinay Dube to the
newly created position of senior vice president - Asia Pacific.
Vinay will lead Delta’s Asia-based team and will
be focused on continued efforts and strategic opportunities to
improve Delta’s competitive and financial position in the region.
He will report to Delta’s president, Ed Bastian.
Most recently, Vinay served as vice president of
alliance and industry affairs for Delta where he had overall
responsibility for Delta’s participation in SkyTeam, joint venture
with Air France-KLM and interline and industry relationships.
“Our merger with Northwest Airlines has created
a number of opportunities to strengthen Delta’s leading position
in the Pacific,” said Ed Bastian, Delta’s president. “Vinay will
strengthen our leadership presence in Asia Pacific markets,
enhance the visibility and accountability for performance on a
regional scale, and provide better support to our global team.”
