The Tongsai Bay Resort on Koh Samui in southern
Thailand, has promoted Michael Holehouse from General Manager to
Managing Director reporting directly to the owners.
Mr. Holehouse is a seasoned hotelier with over 40 years hotel
experience including senior appointments with Sheraton, Sun
International, Westin, Shangri-La and Dusit.
He will have overall
responsibility for the hotel operation, sales & marketing and new
projects. Michael has lived in Thailand for 12 years, 10 of which
were as General Manager of the iconic Poppies, Samui.
Mark
Harrison, also originally from the U.K., has been promoted from Executive Assistant Manager
to Hotel Manager and will assume the day to day management of the
hotel reporting to the Managing Director.
Mark has been with the
hotel for 8 years in various positions, speaks Thai and is married
with 2 children.
Khun Varakorn Phromyothi has been appointed to
the position of Director of Communications with specific
responsibility for advertising, public relations and electronic
marketing.
Reporting to the Mr Holehouse, he is based in the
hotel’s Bangkok sales and reservations office. Khun “Unk” formally
with Nike Thailand Inc, has been with the hotel for 3 years
and has held various positions in marketing.
