Executive Appointments @ InterContinental Grand Stanford Hong Kong

The InterContinental Grand Stanford Hong Kong has made the following three executive appointments.

Joanna Kan has been appointed as Director of Sales and Marketing. Joanna has more than 22 years of sales experience in the hospitality industry, and has been part of the InterContinental Hotels Group for over 13 years. She was part of the pre-opening team at Crowne Plaza Hong Kong Causeway Bay, where she held the position of Director of Sales and Marketing. She has also worked in other local hotel properties and has cemented solid relationships with regional corporate accounts and tour and travel operators.

Joanna was educated in United States and has an Associated of Science Degree in Hotel & Restaurant Management. She has also completed various revenue and sales training courses conducted by IHG.

Vicky Au has been appointed as Director of Revenue Management. Vicky has over 20 years of working experience in the hospitality industry primarily in the Sales and Revenue discipline. Upon her new role, she will work closely with the Sales and Revenue team in developing pricing structures and revenue strategies. She has worked with several major international brands in Hong Kong such as Peninsula Hotels Group and hotels from Marriott International.

A native of Hong Kong, Vicky graduated from a Hospitality Management program at Hong Kong Polytechnic University, and obtained a MBA degree from University of Surrey, UK.

Cecilia Wong has been appointed as Director of Communications. Cecilia returns to the hotel after her departure in 2006 as Public Relations Manager. Prior to her new role, Cecilia held the position of Director of Public Relations at Langham Place Hotel Mongkok, Hong Kong. With over 9 years of marketing and public relations experience, Cecilia has developed solid relationships with both the local and international media.

Cecilia was educated in Australia and holds a Master of Commerce degree in Finance and a Bachelor of Science degree in Statistics and Mathematics from University of New South Wales.
