Marriott has opened the 330-room Renaissance
Shanghai Putuo Hotel under a long-term management agreement with
Shanghai Mingjie Real Estate & Development, with Sammy Ng as
general manager and Adam Cheng as director of marketing.
Located just steps from shops, exciting
nightlife and a major business hub, the Renaissance Shanghai Putuo
Hotel houses four dining options. The warmth of the open kitchen’s
wood-fire oven at Café BLD creates a casual ambiance for buffets
and a variety of international culinary treats. Cantonese
delicacies with a modern twist stimulate the senses at New
Dynasty, serving up steaming hot dim sum accompanied by aromatic
teas from the serenity tea bar. Those in the mood for sushi,
grilled seafood and lemon sake will be inspired by Yu Zu Japanese
Grill’s colorful menu. The Lounge is an all-day stylish
socializing area that offers mouthwatering tapas alongside drinks
and entertainment.
For relaxation, guests can lounge at the
inviting indoor swimming pool or work out in the 24-hour fitness
center, fully equipped with modern cardio machines and free
weights.
Mandara Spa will offer seven treatment
rooms including a special mud therapy suite that features a unique
handcrafted heated jade slab. Relieving guests of stress, Mandara
Spa’s well-known heat therapies relax tense muscles and soften
tissues allowing them to heal and strengthen.
The new Renaissance provides five meeting rooms
and over 11,000 square feet of creative event space. The grand
ballroom is 5,600 square feet and seats a maximum of 520 people
theater-style.
Renaissance Shanghai Putuo Hotel is currently
offering 2,000 bonus points to Marriott Reward members staying at
the property between now and 31 August 2010.

includes 375-room Renaissance Shanghai Pudong Hotel, 327-room
