Graham Stephenson has received a Lifetime
Achievement Award from the organisers of BA Meet-Up, Europe’s
second annual business aviation networking event at RAF Northolt,
UK, in recognition of his outstanding contribution to the
industry. The award was presented to him on 17 March 2010.
Graham, former head of ExecuJet Aviation Group’s
Fixed Base Operations until August 2009, has enjoyed an aviation
career spanning almost half a century – 21 years in commercial and
23 years in business aviation. His most recent achievement was the
establishment of a joint venture FBO in Kuala Lumpur called “SkyPark
Malaysia” between ExecuJet and Hawker Pacific. Before joining
ExecuJet in 2006 Graham worked with Jet Aviation (in Saudi Arabia)
and then London City Airport, where he was instrumental in
establishing the Jet Centre and the airport’s successful foray
into business aviation.
Despite ‘retiring’ at the end of
August 2009, Graham continues to lend his expertise to ExecuJet as
an ad-hoc consultant. He played a significant role contributing to
the success of the company’s FBO activity in Zurich during the
World Economic Forum in January 2010, and also provided his
expertise for the organisation of the General Aviation Terminal
operation in Berlin in February. Drawing on his years of
experience in the FBO world Graham has helped to establish a new
online training venture for FBO staff together with London
Metropolitan University, which was launched during BA Meet-Up.
