Ms. Janet McNab has been appointed as General
Manager of Starwood’s first Four Points by Sheraton property in
Thailand - the Four Points by Sheraton Bangkok, Sukhumvit 15. The
new hotel is scheduled to open in October 2010.
Prior to her post at
Four Points by Sheraton Bangkok, McNab served as General Manager
of Le Méridien Nirwana Resort & Spa in Bali – a 278-room property
including 17 villas, an 18-hole Greg Norman-designed golf course,
and 43 timeshare accommodation units. Additionally, she oversaw an
employee roster of 979.
A
specialist in overseeing management of hotel openings and
conversions, property development and refurbishment, and overall
Sales and Marketing strategies and activities, McNab excelled as
Starwood’s Regional Director of Sales & Marketing, South East
Asia, where she was accountable for 22 properties in Malaysia,
Indonesia and Brunei in 2006. In 2005, McNab focused her talents
as Regional Director of Marketing, responsible for The Laguna
Resort & Spa and 12 hotels in Indonesia. In 2002, she made a key
move to Sheraton Nanjing Kingsley Hotel & Towers in China as
Executive Assistant Manager.
The Australian native
launched her career in catering sales in 1989 at The Sheraton
Brisbane Hotel & Towers and was rapidly promoted to the Director
of Sales and Marketing position.
Located along Sukhumvit Road, a
central destination in Bangkok renowned for its shopping and
nightlife, the Four Points by Sheraton Bangkok will offer 268 guest rooms
and suites range from 32 to 74 sqm. The hotel will offer
guests free bottled water and wireless internet.

as we establish the first Four Points by Sheraton in Thailand,”
