eRevMax and Xotels have partnered to offer a
series of seminars and educational RateTiger Academy courses
designed to help hoteliers gain better control over travel
channels in changing markets including pricing techniques, revenue
management, competitor strategies and distribution management.
The partnership plans to provide customized
seminars as well as certification courses for employees but also
for interested owners, directors and managers. RateTiger Academy
will provide insight from industry professionals into a constantly
changing market and knowledge about distribution strategies,
revenue and yield management and all the technologies available.
The first seminar will bring renewed insight in
today’s hotel distribution landscape and will provide alternative
techniques and ideas that can help to increase and optimise
revenues and profits. The programme will look at online travel
agencies; positioning, packages and promotions; guest loyalty and
repeat stays; distressed inventory and rate segmenting; rate
parity vs. rate integrity; and website best practices.
Available through RateTiger or Xotels, hoteliers
can now subscribe to the one day courses in either English or
German for its first seminar “Distribution Day – Channel
Management in changing markets” that will run during May and June
2010.
“The industry is at a tipping point. In the
past 10 years new technologies have been developed to reach new
consumer markets leaving the hospitality industry playing
catch-up,” said Remko West, founder of Xotels. “Through the
Distribution Days we will help hoteliers explore why channels can
work for them and how to manage them effectively. These courses
will give attendees control over a larger distribution base while
remaining dynamic and flexible to market conditions.”
“We’ve experienced increasing demand for consultancy and
advice from our customers looking to understand how they can
maximise opportunities through the new distribution landscape,”
added Sascha Hausmann, CEO of eRevMax. “With a plethora of channels
that require different approaches hoteliers are more confused than
ever. We want to clear the fog on channel management techniques
and are proud to have found a consultancy firm that shares our
vision.”
The courses will be held in London, 4 May
2010, Prague 26 May 2010 and Frankfurt (German), 8 June
2010.
